She graduated from Sofia School of Fine Arts with a masters in illustration. She specialized also in children's books. She studied lithography at Said• Bronfman's School of Fine Arts in Montreal.Dafne has come to Canada as a refugee after U.S.S.R. collapsed and has been granted canadian citizenship in 1991. She has the craftmanship typical of the traditionnal style in etching that was so particular of former soviet countries. In Montreal since 1989, she has participated in various exhibitions. She works mainly in etching and has a few projects in children's books illustration.
